I've resurrected the original version of Seven Sisters for the Around Blue shows this year. The Seven Sisters are a small mountain chain on the horizon of a town in Western Massachusetts where I lived for many years. The song is about recovery in both nature and oneself. It was in heavy rotation on the radio back then, which pleased me greatly, so I played it a lot. When I was gigging in Dublin, Ireland on my CD Launch tour, a large group of over-enthusiastic (and over-drunk) men at the venue had difficulty thinking of the seven sisters as a mountain chain, preferring to think I was singing about nuns. For the whole of the song they bellowed “Nuns!” “Nuns!” from the back of the room. Except, with that Dublin accent, it was "Nuins!" "Nuins!" I'm not anticipating you doing that on this tour, though if you do, it'll be fine.
