SALLY BARKER & BROOKS WILLIAMS

ON TOUR MAY 2027

It is a shared love of songs, songwriting, acoustic guitar and two-part harmony singing that bring Sally Barker and Brooks Williams together for “The Singer’s Tour” in 2027. Carter Family fuelled. Everly Brothers inspired. A thing of beauty.

Sally Barker brings a little bit of blues, folk, jazz and soul to all her songs. She has a way of singing lyrics from the inside, as evidenced by the way she brought Sir Tom Jones to tears when she performed on The Voice. “Sally changes the atmosphere in a room when she sings,” says Virgin Radio’s Chris Evans. As evidenced by her singing in the Sandy Denny Project, Laurel Canyon Project, The Poozies and IOTA, as well as countless solo and duo shows throughout the decades, including American guitarist Vicki Genfan and supporting Bob Dylan, Fairport Convention and Robert Plant, to name but a few. Sally Barker is a leading light in the roots music scene. Her musicality is off-the-chart and her voice is both atmospheric and stratospheric. Her career spans decades and features countless recordings.

Brooks Williams infuses his music with a lifelong love of country and blues. Songs of love and loss, fate and fortune, the road and redemption, fill this singer’s set. Born in the land that birthed Doc Watson, Elizabeth Cotton, and Blind Willie McTell, his Piedmont guitar style earned him a “Top 100 Acoustic Guitarist” rating. CMP says Williams “was playing Americana before it had be given the name.” With nearly forty recordings to his name, WUMB-FM in Boston USA has named him one of their Top 100 All-Time Artists. When not treading the boards solo, he records and tours in a duo with ace fiddler Aaron Catlow. Past recordings and tours include singer-songwriter Boo Hewerdine, the late-great Rab Noakes, guitarist extraordinaire Vera van Herringen, and Sally Barker.

They re-unite for the first time in a decade for shows in May 2027.
