Brooks & Aaron
"Really nicely done...ace playing!" Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2
"Brooks Williams and Aaron Catlow...produce a rich, unique sound which sets them apart from other artists on the acoustic scene...proves that a fiddle and an acoustic guitar can play the blues as well as anyone." AmericanaUK
"However many stars are available - that's how many it (Working In Wood) gets!" Folk North West
"Working in Wood is a dynamic trip through Americana infused European folk music and beyond. The tight relationship developed between the two musicians is on show as they weave and wind their way between each other's instruments with skilful ease." Folk And Tumble
"Working In Wood is deeply immersed in the modern sound of Americana. It sounds simple enough but this mixture of original songs and covers is anything but." FolkingDOTCom

BROOKS & AARON BIOGRAPHY
“How such a complete and sensational sound can come from just two voices and two instruments is awe-inspiring.” AmericanaUK
Brooks Williams & Aaron Catlow are equal parts Americana, folk and country blues. Their musical chemistry sets the stage ablaze. There literally is no one performing today creating this kind of acoustic music. And audiences love it! They have performed at venues like The Blue Room in The Netherlands, The Atkinson in Southport, Victoria Hall in Settle, Paisley’s Arts Centre in Scotland and St. David’s Hall in Cardiff.
The duo have four recordings out there in the great big world. Ghost Owl (2021) was nominated “Instrumental Album Of The Year.” Ready For The Times (2022) is called ‘a cracker’ by Living Tradition. Greens And Blues (2024) features ‘cosmic violin’ and ‘delicious guitar’ according to At The Barrier. And Working In Wood (2026) is just being born.
Named the “Best Live Act” by RnR, Brooks Williams and Aaron Catlow represent “live music at its best,” says Americana UK. Their shows are infused with pathos, humour and buckets of talent. Guaranteed to get you out of your seat.
