Brooks Williams presents: GUITAR DAY!
Calling all guitarists! Fingerstyle, bluegrass, blues, rock, jazz, folk, on Saturday, September 27, 2008 come celebrate the guitar by spending a day playing together and making connections with other guitar enthusiasts from around New England. Guitar Day! is a daylong guitar workshop that features technique building sessions in fingerstyle guitar, flatpicking guitar, chord wizardry and blues licks and tricks, as well as a duos and trios session where attendees collaborate on a piece of music together. This is a hand's-on workshop with lots of playing and jamming!

 Bluesy guitarist Brooks Williams is a certified road-warrior, wowing audiences for twenty-one years in both the US and abroad with his powerful acoustic and resonator slide guitars.
The Statesboro, Georgia native and Massachusetts resident is celebrating the release of his 16th CD, THE TIME I SPEND WITH YOU, which went to #3 on the FOLKDJ charts (with three top ten singles, including the Mississippi Fred McDowell standard, 61 Highway). Brooks Williams, rated one of the Top 100 Acoustic Guitarists of all-time (in company with the likes of Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Chet Atkins, Doc Watson, David Bromberg, and others), regularly brings audiences to their feet with his high-energy sound of rootsy originals, bluesy classics, and fiery fingerpicking.
